the big show is a no go

So I didn't get in the Lawndale's Big Show. Neither did smootchgirl. When I was picking up our work today, I asked Jimmy Castillo about the number of pieces they got in over the weekend and he had it all written down. Here's what I remember without having written it down: four hundred eighty-something artists submitted one thousand forty-something pieces of art. All were juried and 114 pieces were selected representing 85 artists. Wow, eh? Just about 1 in 10. I can't wait to see what was chosen. Unfortunately, I will be in Indianapolis for an educators' conference on the day the show opens, so I will have to wait a little longer than I'd like.
