light show

Well, I did it and here it is.

It's called Lite Cardio and is about 16 by 20. It's a themed exhibit, which is my excuse for the title in case you're wondering.

The "light" show is juried and I won't know until Friday if my piece made it in or not. That said, hauling my butt and my piece down there on Sunday afternoon was a huge step for me (and my 2 other friends whose arms I twisted until they consented to take the leap with me). The 3 of us (and possibly a 4th) are currently psyching ourselves up for the next deadline on the 27th for the Lawndale's Big Show. Feel free to wish us luck.

Very cool. I wish you the best of luck. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us. It's a good experience regardless of what happens.

Hey Smoochgirl, right back at ya. I'm definitely with you on the good experience thing. Are you ready for next week yet?

Hey Jen!
I love your recent work. What medium are you using? I'm very jealous that you're a producing artist again. I did get out my art stuff recently, but only managed to scatter it about the dining room table before I got distracted by someone dunking my keys in the dog's water bowl. All my stuff sat out on the table for a few weeks until Brian put it all away again...

Hey girl, it's awesome to hear from you.

THAT is a familiar story. My saving grace is that I have a room now that I can leave a disastrous mess and simply shut the door. Doesn't mean that the kids and dog don't still get in there and shuffle it all around from time to time, but at least I can actually finish a project now.

It's a collage of sorts.
